December 20, 2022 | Networking Meeting Recap

Jewish Moment – presented by Jacob Leiferman | Leiferman Enterprises

Why should children get to light the menorah for Chanukah?  This is a tradition that arose because Jews believed that since G-d gave us the Torah, we should therefore commit our children to G-d, as they will be responsible for furthering our religion.  Gift-giving also arose as a tradition, not a law or commandment, based on the impact of consumerism in US Culture.

A discussion ensued surrounding the impact of holiday consumerism in the US vs. Abroad.

Business Moment presented by Michele Leon | Marketing Links

Michele presented the Business Moment as supplied to her by Heather Rykoswki.

5 Tips for networking at a non-networking event:

1. Talk less/listen more.
2. Get to know the other person.
3. Focus on quality conversations.
4. Add value in a small way.
5. Casually ask to stay in touch.

A discussion ensured debating the use of digital vs. paper business cards.
