Who Are We?
We are Arizona Jewish Business Network – a Jewish Entrepreneurial Chavurah that is dedicated to enhancing your business efforts through local, meaningful Jewish relationships. This, in its essence, is what sets us apart from other business networks, other breakfast/lunch/happy hour groups – we seek to serve the community by developing connections with each other, assisting in the development or promotion of our businesses, and engaging in philanthropic acts of tzedakah.
Jewish Moment?
Eddie Pantiliat explained to the group the rationale behind having 2 day observances for Rosh Hashana vs. Israel, that celebrates it for one day. Eddie reminds us that there was the possibility that the sounding of the shofar was not heard, or took a while to get to a remote location, so it was decided to observe this holiday for two days. Eddie told us that Rosh Hashanah is the “Crowning of the King”, an acknowledgement of our relationship with G-d, so that we can later ask G-d to consider us for forgiveness of our sins.

Heather Rykosky of AIT Promotions, reminds us that “Kindness is a Superpower”, and that we have the ability to be a hero every day, we just need to choose to put on that cape. Heather emphasized the need to have intention, give credit to those who deserve it, give compliments to others, give thanks, smile,
Announcements:
Cary Frumes celebrated the recent agreements between UAE and Bahrain with Israel.
Discussed the possibility of returning to live, in-person lunch meetings. Venues suggested were Kitchen 18, Chompies of Scottsdale, JCC Cafe (Milk & Honey).

Eddie Pantiliat, of Hymson, Goldstein, Pantiliat and Lohr PLLC, discussed several of the cases that he has been representing. Eddie hosted an open format Q&A session and addressed some of the issues that motivated the business cases, the process of the filing of the suits, mediation and litigation, and the nature of assignment of responsibility in the event of injury.
